Registered Dental Hygienists play a vital role in our healthcare system, supporting and improving oral health for HEALTHIER AND HAPPIER lives. Responsible for more than just cleaning teeth, we work with you to develop individualized daily oral care routines, and offer treatment recommendations and disease prevention strategies. Whether calming down toddlers at their first dental visit or providing care to adults with periodontal disease, dental hygienists want to ensure that you have a healthy smile for life. Our goal is to provide access to care in an alternative setting!! Many of our patients have had negative or poor experiences. Dental offices can create a lot of anxiety for people and we hope to create an environment where we can eliminate those feelings and allow them to receive important preventative treatment. Many people see us as "teeth cleaners", but we offer so much more from cleanings, assessments, and oral cancer screenings (all of which we do during every appointment). We are able to spend more time with our patients and provide useful information regarding nutrition which can present itself as signs and symptoms in the mouth when deficient. We also focus more on the oral hygiene instruction (brushing, flossing, suggestions, products), provide sealants for children, in office and take home professional whitening, and referrals to other health care professionals including dentists. We can also, knowing the dentists and dental community, suggest a dentist that we feel may best suit each patients needs!! With an independent dental hygiene clinic, YOU have a CHOICE in dental care. A choice in what oral health care services you want and where YOU want to receive them. Our primary goal is to provide care to the public and provide an accessible setting to receive care. We are YOUR choice for preventative service that includes teeth cleaning in Fort St. John and surrounding areas!
